How to Search for Legislative Information from the Library of Congress

The Library of Congress is the repository of all bills introduced in Congress.

Used by Members of Congress and their staff, the Library of Congress website allows you to access the text of a federal bill and the status of that bill, such as number of cosponsors, committee referrals and actions, etc.

The site also includes newspaper archives, audio recordings, photos, film and video, and  various forms of media.

Just go to loc.gov, and use the search engine to locate the bill you would like to read or download.

Note: The old "Thomas" legislative tracking website has been discontinued.
