This policy extends to all information collected via the online membership/contribution form.

Part I.  Credit Card Information

VOR cannot guarantee total security with regard to the transmission of personal information, including credit card information, via the web. Although we have worked to minimize risks, web use comes with inherent risks and potential breaches of privacy. Visitors utilizing the online membership/contribution form do so at their own risk.

To enjoy higher security, visitors are invited to join or contribute to VOR by mail, fax or telephone as follows:

Part II. Information Collection

VOR only collects information through our Web site via the online membership/contribution form completed by visitor. We do not utilize cookies, a technique some administrators of Web sites use to collect personal information for the purpose of tracking usage and customizing communication. Internally, we verify the accuracy of all member contact information, as necessary, by first class mailings, phone calls and e-mails.

Part III.  Information Usage

The information collected by VOR will be used for membership correspondence, including a quarterly newsletter (The Voice); a weekly e-mail update; action alerts and other regular correspondence.

We offer links to other Web sites.  Please note: When you click on links to other Web sites, we encourage you to read their privacy policies.  Their standards may differ from ours.

Part IV. Problem Resolution

If the problem relates to the operation and content of the website, or any other questions or comments, you are encouraged to communicate with VOR’s Executive Director, Tamie Hopp at vor@compuserve.com and 605-399-1624 voice.  We are committed to responding efficiently.
